Misery is not limited to a genre. Sure, some revel in it, some wallow in it, but the gloom knows no real bounds. Most of us probably love Queen, at least in a small way, because we weren’t supposed to. They have whatever the opposite of indie cred would be, but in their over the top highs and lows we find glee. So we thought we’d try dedicating a Feeling Gloomy to Queen. Here’s what we’ve got in store:
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY SINGALONG
-This was inevitable. It’s worth throwing the entire party just to do it. We’ll need your help and a bunch of flashlights-
HALF OFF MOUSTACHE RIDES
-There’s no way your caterpillar approaches Freddie Mercury’s majesty, but if you have a mustache (fake or real) you can get in for half off-
QUEENLY VISUALS
-We don’t mean footage of the royal mum-
+ DJs Gordon and Nathaniel Gloom playing all your favorite Queen songs from the Trainspotting plus all of your anglophilic faves
