At any time in a set, you are bound to hear the polyrhythms of afro-beat, brazilian bossa or batucada, emerging future sounds of nu jazz, soulful deep house, 80’s boogie, rare disco classics to funk & soul. Being purveyor of fine music and record collecting for over 17 years, Damon Bell is a true connoisseur.
Originally from San Diego where he and former crew partner Ikah Love held a residency for 6 consecutive years every Tuesday at Bar Dynamite, under the famed name Four Corners Sound System. Playing regularly in the states and over seas while holding residencies nation wide, has allowed Damon to tour and play with artists & groups; Jazzanova, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Rich Medina, King Britt, Femi Kuti, Kinky, Ron Trent, Antibalas, Vikter Duplax, Boozoo Bajou, Bugz in the Attic, Erika Badu, Platinum Pied Pipers, Dead Prez, Nortec Collective, Fila Brazilia, The Roots, Saul Williams, and Bobby Matos to mention a few.
