Come join the Thunder Gumbo arts collective for an 8-bit celebration of the Pioneer Spirit- a heroic and dangerous six month long expedition that takes place IN ONE NIGHT across four stages of explosive music, impromptu art, mind-bending performance, dark theater, relaxing + quiet lounge/chill space, and minor dysentery at the House of Yes!
Come ford our river, marvel at our fire archery, shake off the typhoid fever, provision yourself at our general store, while square dancing until 5am to DJ’s and live music at the #bestvenueever.
This is a volunteer produced, non-profit fundraiser for modifications to our legendary art car, Thunderius Gumbonium Lahontanii, a meticulous reconstruction of a Pleistocene whale-beast which inhabited ancient Lake Lahontan.
The player assumes the role of a wagon leader guiding his or her party of settlers from Independence, Missouri, to Oregon’s Willamette Valley on the Oregon Trail via a covered wagon in 1848.
