If you hadn’t noticed, things have been a little quiet on the YDH2S front. We try to get a newsletter out every week, but we do this site in our spare time, and sometimes our actual work lives get in the way. That said, we’ve got lots of great parties we want to tell you about, so this week at least we can give you an update.
In addition to all of the great parties we hear about and recommend, this is our space to bring you info on the dance parties that we put on ourselves. This weekend is a packed one: tonight you can catch me spinning at Ugly Rhino’s Junior Prom at Littlefield, and Saturday our associates the Brothers Gloom will be throwing a Kate Bush party at Feeling Gloomy. Beyond this weekend, I’m excited to be playing some of my favorite anthemic songs at the next edition of Target First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum. It’s being organized by WNYC’s Sex, Death & Money podcast and I’ll be doing a set of inspirational songs about changing your life, which sounds like the most positive thing ever. Lastly, if you ever came to our Head On parties when they were at the Bell House, we’ll have some exciting news to bring to you next week about an event coming up in April, so keep your eyes peeled.
As always I want to remind that we only put the cherry-picked best parties here in the newsletter. Particularly this week, where if I’ve got time I may add more stuff later today. Things are a little bare bones but I wanted to make sure I got this newsletter out. There are always more events on the website than in our newsletter. This is just meant to give you a taste, so head to the website listings for many more options.
